1. Project Background

Commercial blocks, urban streets and public event venues usually gather large crowds. Traditional manual video surveillance suffers from low inspection efficiency, delayed detection of abnormal incidents and inability to quantify crowd data. This intelligent vision algorithm platform is built based on computer vision AI technology. It integrates multiple mature visual recognition algorithms, converts video frames into quantifiable and early-warning structured data, and realizes fully automatic intelligent analysis of public scenes. Meanwhile, it acts as a display carrier to visually present the practical performance of all kinds of AI vision capabilities.

2. Core Algorithms & Functional Modules

The platform consists of three major functional sections: Perimeter Detection, Face & Human Body Recognition, and Behavior Analysis. It supports parsing local files or real-time video streams:

  1. Perimeter Detection Algorithms Including full-scene pedestrian detection, high-rise object throwing recognition, crowd quantity & density statistics. The system automatically frames all pedestrians in the video, counts real-time population and cumulative visitors, and outputs crowd density levels. It accurately identifies falling objects from high floors and sends active early warnings for safety risks near buildings and streets.
  2. Face & Human Body Recognition Algorithms Covers facial feature recognition, pedestrian re-identification and gait recognition. The system extracts facial images and distinguishes individual features; it tracks cross-camera pedestrians via body outline and gait features to realize continuous personnel tracing for crowd tracking and source investigation.
  3. Intelligent Behavior Analysis Algorithms
  • Emotion Recognition: Captures facial features and automatically labels emotions such as happy, smile, disgust, applicable to cultural events and public service satisfaction analysis.
  • Risk & Violation Recognition: Automatically identifies dangerous behaviors including fighting, self-harm risk, smoking in public areas and abnormal crowd gathering, and generates early warnings once targets are detected.
  1. Visual Display System A large-screen visual interface carries all analysis results, with video frames linked synchronously to quantitative data panels on the right side. Real-time data such as crowd count, density value, facial samples and behavior classification are displayed dynamically. Users can switch single algorithm demonstration with one click, intuitively demonstrating the application value of computer vision technology in public security scenarios.
