1. Project Background

To implement regular urban domestic garbage sorting management, solve pain points including the lack of digital ledgers for merchant waste delivery, uncountable waste collection data and insufficient quantitative indicators for environmental assessment, we developed a lightweight WeChat mini-program — Merchant Weighing Management System for Garbage Sorting Experience Center. Targeting garbage sorting operation administrators and local merchants, it forms a closed-loop digital management tool covering the whole chain of merchant waste delivery: registration, archiving and data statistics.

2. Core Functions of Two Portals

(1) Administrator Portal
  1. Account Login: Administrators log in with username and password to access the waste delivery registration console. A merchant portal entrance at the bottom enables quick switch to merchant interface.
  2. Delivery Registration Process: Fill in waste weight, scan merchant QR code to bind merchant ID, upload on-site delivery photos, then click "Confirm Delivery" to automatically archive records after complete information input.
  3. Delivery Data Statistics: Built-in merchant delivery statistics module supports free data filtering by year and month. The dashboard displays total monthly waste weight of all merchants in the area, and a table lists merchant name, unique ID and cumulative monthly delivery weight for quantitative garbage sorting assessment.
  4. Basic Account Management: Support log-out to switch administrator accounts, suitable for shift work of multiple operation staff.
(2) Merchant Self-service Portal
  1. Merchant Identity Verification: Merchants get exclusive QR codes bound to unique merchant IDs (e.g. B01, B02) after login, with one-click refresh function for waste collection administrators to bind delivery records via scanning.
  2. Weighing Record Inquiry: Merchants independently check monthly aggregated waste delivery ledgers with weight and timestamp data for self-audit and environmental compliance inspection.
  3. Merchant Management Tools: Merchant unbinding function is available for business scenarios such as store closure, relocation and merchant ID modification.

3. Project Value

  1. Digital Ledger: Replace paper registration. All records including waste weight, merchant info and on-site photos are permanently stored online, available for instant traceability during environmental inspections and garbage sorting supervision.
  2. Quantitative Assessment Support: Automatically aggregate monthly delivery data to compare waste output of different merchants, providing accurate data support for garbage sorting reward and punishment policies.
  3. Low-cost Lightweight Solution: Developed on WeChat mini-program without APP download requirement, cutting hardware and software investment for garbage sorting operation.
  4. Two-way Collaborative Management: Administrators complete offline waste collection registration while merchants check personal delivery data independently. Information exchange between management and merchants greatly improves the efficiency of coordinated garbage sorting governance.
